Thoughts to learn Before Selecting Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

PrintE-mail

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was publicized on November 10th, 2009 and had among the heaviest launches I can even bear in mind! I did not go out for this midnight unleashing, but I journeyed out on roll-out day and was there 3 hours ahead of launch during the morning and there were currently 20+ individuals waiting around there. Just after a half hour to 45 minutes, I finally accepted my copy of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for the PS3 and off I went to commit the downtime of my week ranking up as rapidly as I could.

So before I start, I just want to say that I am an enormous fan of Call of Duty 4, but I tried to keep this review from the standpoint of a person who hasnt played any of the Call of Duty games or somebody who didnt appreciate the prior video games from the Call of Duty series. I would not consider myself a Call of Duty fan-boy, but I was planning on shopping forCall of Duty Modern Warfare 2 back when Call of Duty 4 was circulated.

As the majority of you currently know, I seldom actually obtain video games that do not have some form of multi-player and ordinarily will only spend money on game titles for its multi-player aspect, but I did truly play the whole single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 and I ought to say that I did take pleasure in it even when playing through a second time. The story was solid, it was just a little unclear at times, but it tied in reasonably effectively with exactly where the story left off in Call of Duty 4 and presented resolutions to numerous unanswered concerns.

The only thing I really did not like regarding the single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 was that, for the most part, it had been relatively  for the hardest difficulty setting. Now, I didnt say always, simply because that is most definitely not true, there were occasions in which I got rather aggravated as a result of there were just so large a number of enemies at a given time on just about every side and it got me incredibly angry, but other than that, the single player campaign was relaxing and also a refreshing new game to play through.

As far as the controller layout goes, it is precisely the same as in Call of Duty 4 and it was great for that game and is still completely perfect now. As far as Im concerned, the control structure options in COD4 and MW2 are the greatest layouts that have ever been put together for any online game. You'll notice a couple of other layouts that you can select from and every one of those layouts are excellent as well. Some of the optional layouts take just a little while to get accustomed to, but the moment you are used to the new control scheme, you are unstoppable!

Now comes the aspect which you all have been patiently waiting for! My thoughts regarding the multiplayer element of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2! So after putting in over 360 hours of online gaming, I believe I can give a pretty good overview of what it is all about. For the most part, everything is better balanced. The maps are laid out effectively, and most of the perks and weapon attachments work great. This being said, there are constantly negatives to go along with the positives. Now, dont get me completely wrong here, I am not intending to go over everything that's precise in this video game, as it would take too long. Instead, Im planning to try and go over some of the significant faults within the online feature of this game, simply because I think this would be alot more helpful to possible buyers and/or prior owners.

Here we go, lets get started now on the negative elements. As far as Im concerned, 1 man army is the only real unethical perk. On its own, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, and it can be incredibly helpful based on your predicament, but implemented within the hands, it may be put to use in an particularly annoying way that will make anybody choose to simply break their controller until the pieces discontinue flying.

Next up, we have death streaks. To just be straightforward and frank, getting compensated for dying, in my opinion, is just moronic. There should be no need for this if the spawn procedure was well thought through, which, unfortunately, it most definitely isn't, but if youre making use of death streaks for anything but to combat the terrible spawn structure, then you've got no excuse, you are a noob.

On that note, I might as well touch over the spawn procedure seeing as I previously opened that can of worms. While not starting into a huge rant, basically the spawn organization performs efficiently in most cases, but on the occasion, it performs just about as effectively as an Xbox 360 with the RROD. It doesnt help you whatsoever, it can cause you strong stress, and it can make you wish to cast your console out the windowpane of a three story or higher building. I am rather certain that that is pretty much all I've to express about that, given that if you have played a suitable number of games and game varieties, you know precisely what I am babbling about.

Just one other thing that runs just like that, is the matchmaking process. The game automatically decides what lobby its going to put you in. This means, you could be put inside a room which has 12 seconds left within your game and it truly is practically unreal for you to win. This definitely aggravates me to no end. There is no simpler way to tarnish my joy to just cool off and play some Modern Warfare 2 then when I launch it up and connect to a lobby on a team that has been just getting raped. It is not fun at all, in reality, most of the time if this occurs I will simply flip the PlayStation 3 off right then and there and do some thing different.

So far as weapons go, they are pretty significantly balanced now. At the start there was a massive dispute about the model 1887s, but thanks to all the whiners, they got nerfed and are now about just as fantastic as tossing a rock at somebody. So far as the rest of the guns go, they are all really effective and should you really do not react speedily, you'll die while not even knowing what happened.

I feel this concludes the mini rant regarding the multiplayer part of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and if you want to have an understanding of any extra pertaining to it, just buy it, because it is most undoubtedly well worth the money.
