So how hard is it to use peel and sticks. Here are some installation tips:

Wash wall and make sure it is dried out. For freshly painted walls let paint "thouroughly dry" for 10 to 15 days prior to putting on decals. Even if new paint feels dry, it may nonetheless need to settle and fully dry. Peel and Stick Wall Decals are not advised on "Orange Peel" textured walls, over cinder blocks, very uneven and permeable surfaces, wallpaper or fragile surfaces. Wall stickers are OK to use on tile as long as the surface is thoroughly clean and completely free of moisture during installation. Be sure the design element does not cover grout area as water might leak under and damage the adhesive. Apply onto shower walls, as long as they are positioned firmly onto the surface so moisture is unable to reach under the design element. Once placed, RoomMates won't shift even if sprayed by shower.

Vinyl wall decals can't be placed in a dishwater or microwave and they should not be positioned on rugs, fabrics and any other textiles. Textile fibers may stick to the adhesive and ruin the product. Also, do not put at the bottom or inside the tub. Water could filter under the design element too easily and would damage the adhesive. When putting on, make sure you get started from one side (for the border) or the top (for the appliques) of each element. Keep the other parts of the element away from the wall/surface. Gradually go straight down over the product with your hand and smooth the element onto area (and press the bubbles out as you go). Once applied you should be able to shift any leftover bubbles out by pressing/smoothing them out of the element. If the problem continues (this would solely occur with the giant decals), you can punch a very small (invisible to the eye) hole with a pin to drive the air out.

In all, it will always be most effective to test wall decals in an inconspicuous area. If the surface is uneven, operation could be significantly diminished. Ensure that surface is thoroughly clean of dust and dirt or you may damage the adhesive and ruin the product.
